Johnson of the state of Louisiana has received 220 votes.

After three weeks of chaos, House Republicans have elected Congressman Mike Johnson to be

their new speaker.

while Democrats voted for their party leader Representative Hakim Jeffries.

Johnson is a vocal supporter of former President Donald Trump and even helped his failed

Committee and the Armed Services Committee and our K-Fout team reports that he has a history of harsh anti-gay language from his time as an attorney for a conservative legal group in the mid-2000s.

Johnson brought a bill in support of Israel to the House floor today.
