Today, UN Chief Antonio Gutierrez raised concerns about Israel's military operation

against Hamas in an interview with Reuters.

When one looks at the number of civilians that were killed with the military operations,

there is something that is clearly wrong.

He pointed out the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and its need for

aid while calling for the hostages held by Hamas to be freed. Human Rights Watch is

calling for Israel's strike on an ambulance outside Gaza's biggest

hospital earlier this month to quote be investigated as a possible war crime.

According to the Hamas-controlled Ministry of Health in Gaza the strike killed at least 15 people and wounded 60 others.

The Israeli military didn't respond to CNN's queries about Human Rights Watch, but previously

said the ambulance was being used by Hamas,

and has maintained that it's following international law

and only striking legitimate military targets in Gaza.

Despite the casualties, White House official John Kirby says U.S. officials don't support

a ceasefire at this time, because they believe it would benefit Hamas.

A ceasefire not only gives them time to plan and execute, but it legitimizes what they started on October 7th
