January 4th. State officials say a sixth grader was killed and five other people were

wounded in a shooting at Iowa's Perry High School.

A state official said the shooter was a high school student who was found dead of a self-inflicted

gunshot wound.

Police found an improvised explosive device inside the school, but officials rendered it safe and there were no other threats.

Jody Kurth says her stepson was grazed by a bullet, according to KCCI.

The terrorist group ISIS has claimed responsibility for yesterday's deadly twin explosions in Iran.

Iranian state media said at least 84 people were killed and almost 300 injured in the

blasts, the deadliest attack in Iran since its 1979 revolution. The explosions

happened near the burial site of military commander Kasim Salimani

on the fourth anniversary of the US air strike that killed him. The media wing

for ISIS said two brothers were

responsible for what it claims were suicide attacks. ISIS offered no further

proof and their account of the blasts differ from that given by Iranian media.
