| 0:40.1 | struck me from the Psalms. The first is from Psalm 106 versus 24 and 25 and this is what |
| 0:49.2 | it says. Then they despised the pleasant land. They did not believe his word, but complained in their tents and did not heed the voice of the Lord. |
| 1:00.0 | So notice first the Israelites were in a pleasant land. The complaining started |
| 1:06.3 | while they were in a pleasing situation, but they did not believe his word. |
| 1:11.1 | So what would we expect? You know really? It turns out that unbelief is the |
| 1:18.5 | soil that complaining and grumbling are going to grow in. They did not heed the voice of the Lord. |
| 1:26.4 | Man, you know, they didn't pay attention. They did not believe they did not obey. They despise the good things God had given them and |
| 1:35.1 | they complained in their tents so it's not a pretty picture and if you back up a |
| 1:42.2 | few verses to see, well, how did they get there? How did they get to this terrible condition? |
| 1:49.0 | Back in verse 13, it says, they soon forgot his works. They did not wait for his counsel. And then in |
| 1:56.8 | verse 21 it says they forgot God their Savior. Like oh man I'm just saying this should put the fear of God in us, really, this terrible ugly picture. |
| 2:10.0 | They forgot God's works. They forgot him. They didn't wait for him to lead them or guide them. |
| 2:17.0 | They just didn't wait for his counsel. They just acted on their own according to their own lights. |
| 2:22.0 | And this is a really truly dangerous and miserable |
| 2:27.1 | way to live. I just think of that. They did not wait for his counsel. You know, if you have ever been in the position of |
| 2:34.8 | waiting for the Lord to show you what to do, you can't just give him a certain |
