Lacey Spears was a Mommy Blogger who took things to the EXTREME. Lacey would intentionally make her own son Garnett Spears sick, just so that she could gain more attention and sympathy online. This unfortunately fuelled a vicious cycle for Lacey which ultimately led to an absolute tragedy.

0:44.4	And I think the main reason why is that Lacey committed one of the worst types of crimes

0:53.6	And I think people just couldn't wrap their head around Lacey and what she did.
0:59.3	So Lacey Spears was a mommy blogger, one of the bad ones.
1:04.9	I think it's safe to say that she was a mommy blogger from hell.
1:08.7	Lacey had a young son called Garnett Spears who suffered from a few various health conditions
1:15.1	and Lacey would post about her son online.
1:18.0	She would document his whole journey with his illnesses.
1:21.3	And on the surface, it seems pretty harmless.
1:23.9	I mean, people do things like this, but unfortunately, with the case of Lacey Spears, it wasn't
1:30.8	harmless at all because it's thought that Lacey was suffering from a condition called
1:36.2	Munchhausen Biproxy.
1:38.8	And this condition Munchhausen Biproxy, which Lacey was thought to be suffering from, meant
1:44.0	that she was intentionally making her child sick just so she could get attention and
1:50.6	sympathy.
