Welcome back to another episode of Five Minute Friday from Hurtle.

I am coming to you with some serious post-Boston energy and a lot of thoughts on what it actually means to be in tune with yourself.

I'm feeling so inspired and motivated after seeing

so many outstanding humans chase their own potential on Monday's Marathon Day. And there's

one story in particular that I want to talk about in this episode of Five Minute Friday, and that has to do

with Sharon Locetti. So Sharon is on the bus to Hoppington. She is headed to the start of the marathon.

She's a 2025 reigning champion of this marathon, and she realizes, this is true, that she doesn't have her watch.

I do not even, the amount of pros I talked to in the days leading up to the marathon that told me

about their checklists and their to-do lists, the panic that must have ensued for Sharon during

this moment, I cannot even fathom. I mean, she's a favorite.

The states are high. She's hunting a back-to-back win. She's missing something that's like a

major tool to come up on top of the podium. Anyway, Sharon borrows a watch from someone she finds at the start.

And that is so insane to me. Especially because what actually happened here is that she made a decision

before she even got this substitute watch,

she made the decision that she wasn't going to let the things that she could no longer control break her.

And that is such a lesson.

Sharon had no other option except to trust her training, trust her internal dashboard. And she told her reporters that

she was fully prepared to just go into this race based on feel. We even heard that the data that

was on the watch that she ended up borrowing was like very different than what she typically
