Hey, everybody, Emily Boddy here. You are listening to Five Minute Friday from Hurtle. Good morning. Hi. What a week. I, if you follow me on social, maybe you're in the loop. If you don't, I'm bringing you into it. On Wednesday of this week, I hit a very important, beautiful, wonderful career milestone in that my first ever cover story was released.

The story is for Marie Claire, and it is on Shelly Ann Fraser Price, who needs no introduction, but just in case you need a reminder.

1:03.1

She's an eight-time Olympic medalist, a five-time 100-meter world champion, the first woman from the Caribbean to ever win a medal

in the 100. She's unbelievable. And it has been a really special week for me. I went to Jamaica

For so long I dreamed of getting to this destination.

2:19.5

And what happens is that now that I'm here, I was so worried almost.

2:26.4

I had so much anxiety that it was going to feel differently than I had hoped,

2:30.3

that I had been putting all this work to get to this mountaintop and that I'd get here

2:35.3

and it wouldn't feel as exciting.

2:39.4

And what I realized is that I'm almost happy that it took so long to get this W, to get to a point where I can say at 37 years old, after working as a journalist in New York City for the

2:53.2

better part of the last 15 years, that I have finally accomplished something that was on the top of

3:01.2

my bucket list. And when we get to a destination, it can be, I'll speak for my personal experience. I don't want to lump us all into this category, but easy to neglect the celebratory period.

3:15.6

And I promised myself that this was as big of an accomplishment as any and that I would be good at taking the time to really sit in this feeling, to really sit
