Hey everybody. Hello. It's me. My voice is back. We're back. It's five minute Friday. Really, what could be

0:28.1

better? I feel like my feet are finally back under me after a whirlwind week and weekend. I know I said it in

0:36.6

the intro to Monday's episode with Shalane,

0:40.4

but to anyone and everyone who had themselves a day last Sunday here in New York,

0:45.9

watching the marathon, running the marathon. Congrats. We did it. Now, this week, I want to talk to you

0:53.7

about something related to that. I want to talk to you

0:56.1

about the choice that I made not to work out for five days. Candidly, I think it's probably the

1:02.3

longest amount of time that I have gone and I can't even tell you how long without

1:08.1

1:29.2

walking a lot. I think on Marathon Sunday, I logged something like 40,000 steps. And in the days

1:37.1

preceding that, at least 15,000 steps. And on top of that regular movement as a part of those days, I also had a high

1:46.7

stress week, which I believe I've chatted about a little bit on the show. My days are a little bit

1:52.4

blurred now, if I'm being honest. But hosting a lot of events, going to a lot of events,

1:58.1

being involved in the community and absorbing the high frequency

2:02.3

around me, I knew that I needed to give my body the chance to handle the amount of stress at hand

2:12.2

to the best of its ability without exceedingly stressing it. Now, last week I talked about two of my strategies

2:20.7

that I use when I'm trying to navigate overwhelm. And I'd be remiss if I didn't say that,

2:25.5

yes, I navigated a bit of overwhelmed last weekend. But for me, I had to listen to my gut.

2:33.5

I have been in the position before where I'm shooting myself
