Hey, everybody, Emily Abadi here. You are listening to Five Minute Friday from Hurtle. Good morning, good afternoon, good evening. This week has been a blur for me. I came back from Los Angeles. I was there to run the Nike after dark tour. I got in late on Sunday. And I feel like it was off to the races for me.

And I did talk about pushing myself in the middle of last week to run that mile.

But I feel like the appropriate place for me to talk about this is here because I don't want to do an

entire long recap for this. I haven't felt like I pushed myself that hard since I ran the last time

I tried to PR in the mile, which I did, I was in 2021.

And I literally thought that I was going to like fall over and blackout.

I remember getting to this point in my body where I was wondering if it would shut down,

like a point that I had never been to before.

And then crossing that finish line on that day in October of 2021, it felt so rewarding

because I accomplished my goal of doing it in less than six minutes.

And so I went into this half marathon on Saturday night with so many hesitations. I thought to myself, you're a morning workout person.

We don't know how this is going to feel at 6.30 p.m. I thought to myself, what's the feeling

going to look like all day? It's equivalent to your 9.30 p.m. You're usually sleeping by that time. So many thoughts. Also,

the course itself was like wildly hilly. Wildly hilly. And so I went into it still hoping to get my best time,

which it is so rewarding and special to me to say something like that when I just turned 37.

I feel like I am just, no pun intended, hitting my stride within my overall health and well-being, within my
