| 1:54.0 | And I asked him about what it was like at the beginning of his career in hopes he would tell me, oh, it was so much better. |
| 2:01.0 | I started medical school in 1983, and I can't say that in the first 17 years or 15 years of practice, |
| 2:13.0 | that I ever saw the doctor being told not to practice medicine the way the doctor was trained to practice medicine. |
| 2:23.0 | And so it was really in the late 90s that I got to see what was under the rock, like what was really going on underneath. |
| 2:35.0 | I saw what happened when I started to learn things that I wasn't taught in medical school or residency. |
| 2:42.0 | And when I took it to my colleagues who were science people, they basically said, go away. |
| 2:55.0 | He was there. He was in New York when we were told SARS-CoV-2 hit. |
