Why aren't I scared about what?

You know, like you've never done something like this before?

My boyfriend Ben and I are lying in bed, and while would usually say good night give him a kiss and fall asleep

Tonight I stayed awake a little longer because I could tell something was on his mind

I just can tell you're thinking about it. I'm not thinking about it. Really? I'm trying, you don't tell you? You like, your face is straight and your eyes start going other places like to the

corner. You have the same stare that I have. The next day I'm taking Ben to the airport so he can hop on a plane, travel 900 miles, and embark on a project that could skyrocket his career.

What I didn't realize is this jump in his career would test our relationship

which would snowball into a series of money issues and resentment. I'm your host Megan Tan and you're listening to

episode Ben starts to experience professional success at a rate much faster than

me. While I'm working a part-time job at a restaurant and a retail store,

Ben is increasing his business trips and making more money. And I slowly start to

feel like I'm falling behind.

Before we jump into everything,

there are a couple things you need to know about Ben and I.

We met at school. We were both studying photojournalism.

And at the time, for me, dating was out of the question.

I promised myself I would never date another photojournalist because I wanted to be respected in our field.

I didn't want people to overlook me because I was just so-and-so's girlfriend.

But the last semester of Ben's senior year, I obviously broke my own rules.
