Thank you so much for hanging out with us today. I will admit, I tried to delay this episode as long as I could. I thought we would get some Brandon Ayuk news. As of Thursday late afternoon, it is crickets out there. It seems like he's going to be traded. The Steelers appear to be the front runners based on the reports. It's also possible, though, that the 49ers could just be slow playing this, hoping that they can still get a deal done with them. Maybe there's a Dark Horse team out there. Maybe they're just waiting to pounce. We really don't know, but that is okay. Whenever something does happen with Ayyuk, we will talk about it on the show. We will update everything in the draft kit. We will have your ready to roll for all your drafts. Do not worry about that. And the thing is,

Iuk's kind of overshadowing what's normally a very exciting week because we had the Hall of Fame game last Thursday. Now we're getting a full slate of NFL preseason action this week. There's going to be a lot to talk about coming out of those games. but before we get to that, I want to go over what we've learned so far from training camps. And we did a little bit of that on Tuesday show with Chad Parsons. That had sort of a dynasty spin to it, though. So I want to give more of an overall look at some of the important training camp news, at least in my view. And I say it every year, you can't just blindly overreact to every single piece of news that trickles out this time of the year. You got to question every source.

Are they a legitimate person who covers the team, covers the league, or is it just somebody who's

trying to make a name for themselves? Are they maybe guessing at potential outcomes? There's lots of

those out there. You also have to wonder,

why is the news coming out? Could it have been leaked by the team, by the player, by their agent?

Is it just public negotiating? You know, when it comes to these contract issues like some of the

IUC stuff, some of these other players, sometimes teams are trying to negotiate through the media.

So is it that? Is it just an attempt to motivate a player?

If you have a coach kind of challenging them or challenging their work ethic in the media,

it could just be a motivational tactic.

And if it's a teammate saying something, what was the question they were asked?

Were they just being nice or were they actually that passionate about their teammate,

what they've seen from that guy or was

it the kind of question where what else are they going to say they're obviously just going to fall

back on something nice and if it's a beat writer is it their opinion because you can note that sort

of thing but you don't want to get too caught up and just one beat writer's opinion because if it's

just one person, they might be

wrong, right? And other beat writers might see it differently. So when it comes to beat writers,

there's really only a handful that I truly trust. And when they say something, even if it is
