Today like many people her age Dorothy Jean Tillman is attending prom as her best friend's date, but she isn't a high school student.

She actually earned her doctorate degree before she could even vote.

By the age of 14, Dorothy already had an associate's degree, a bachelor's, and her master's.

And the Chicago native successfully defended her dissertation a few months ago when she was only 17 years old.

startup to inspire underserved kids in Chicago and abroad to pursue careers in these fields. So safe to say Dorothy was busy.
