What's up everyone? Welcome back. Today we're not talking about pests surprise surprise we are talking about composting weeds now a lot of gardeners shy away from composting weeds because what what they think is going to happen is you're going to spread that weed seed

all around the garden whenever you spread your compost,

which actually can be true.

It just depends on how you compost your weeds. Now I'm here to say you can do it. It

just matters how you approach it. So I'm going to go over five different ways you can do it today.

That's going to be the hot compost method.

So if your compost pile gets plenty of heat

and can get to those hot compost levels,

then you can compost weeds in as little as six to eight months.

Now that sounds like a long time,

but composting can take a long time.

So to get your compost piles hot enough requires a perfect mix of browns and

greens regularly working and ideally a sunny location. So a lot of people

especially as we go into fall don't have that available to them.

So you might need to go for a different solution.

And that brings us to number two, which is rotting or making weed soup. So what you can do here is if you put your

perennial weeds into a bucket then you fill that bucket with water and you weigh

the weeds down so they're completely submerged and then you leave it for about a month
