But before we get into that, tell me what you have been working on this week.

Well, a little bit strange because I'm a bit a bit what you've been working on.

Because I saw your Instagram feed and I was like, oh, Alice is doing that too, which is really weird.

You know how when you're younger and you go on a school trip and all the girls start their cycles all get together?

Yeah. I feel like our creative cycles might have melded because I've been, I've been finishing the book and blah blah, I'm always saying that. So in between I had a day of working in the studio just freely and I decided to work with ink Indian ink just Indian ink and I'm pouring it and spraying it and I think it's part of what's coming next but I'm not sure what that's going to be so I just feel like I want to experiment with really bold marks against really delicate marks and I don't know so I decided to work with ink because that's easy to mess with and so I had a great day and there are

concertina sketchbooks and big sheets of paper all around me covered in ink

and then I started to tear them up and reassemble some of them.

But then I went on Instagram the next day I think,

and there was a real of you pouring black ink on a piece of paper

and I was like, oh, this is freaky now.

It's really funny, isn't it? Well mine came about from a couple of

weeks ago we spoke about doing the hundred day project and I said I really wanted to do it and I

kept coming up with all these ideas, but I couldn't quite nail it down to something that really felt right. So I thought about working on a sequence of painting and just doing a hundred days of recording what was going to be on that painting each day, but that's not how my weekly practice of working on a painting goes. I didn't want to tie myself down to a single idea, you know, and then it just came, it came back to this idea of people might not know this, but the company that I have is called Soul Rocket

because that was what was kind of important to me
