Summary
This week saw us both experiencing self-doubt brought on by limiting beliefs. This inspired us to create a list of the most common beliefs that we feel hold artists back. This is so important, because these beliefs are often unspoken and we might even experience them, not as beliefs but as facts of life. When this happens, we don't even realise there is anything we can do about them. By bringing them out into the light and questioning them, we can often gather the courage to move forward despite our fears or doubts. So, join us as we discuss these pesky beliefs and share our thoughts on how to manage them.

| 0:59.7 | Because I saw your Instagram feed and I was like, oh, Alice is doing that too, which is really weird. |
| 1:05.5 | You know how when you're younger and you go on a school trip and all the girls start their cycles all get together? |
| 1:12.0 | Yeah. I feel like our creative cycles might have melded because I've been, I've been finishing the book and blah blah, I'm always saying that. So in between I had a day of working in the studio just freely and I decided to work with ink Indian ink just Indian ink and I'm pouring it and spraying it and I think it's part of what's coming next but I'm not sure what that's going to be so I just feel like I want to experiment with really bold marks against really delicate marks and I don't know so I decided to work with ink because that's easy to mess with and so I had a great day and there are |
| 1:53.0 | concertina sketchbooks and big sheets of paper all around me covered in ink |
| 1:57.8 | and then I started to tear them up and reassemble some of them. |
| 2:02.2 | But then I went on Instagram the next day I think, |
| 2:06.0 | and there was a real of you pouring black ink on a piece of paper |
| 2:09.0 | and I was like, oh, this is freaky now. |
| 2:11.0 | It's really funny, isn't it? Well mine came about from a couple of |
| 2:16.5 | weeks ago we spoke about doing the hundred day project and I said I really wanted to do it and I |
| 2:21.4 | kept coming up with all these ideas, but I couldn't quite nail it down to something that really felt right. So I thought about working on a sequence of painting and just doing a hundred days of recording what was going to be on that painting each day, but that's not how my weekly practice of working on a painting goes. I didn't want to tie myself down to a single idea, you know, and then it just came, it came back to this idea of people might not know this, but the company that I have is called Soul Rocket |
| 2:53.5 | because that was what was kind of important to me |
