And then there were communities that said they were banning their Cinco de Mayo celebrations out of fear. For example,

in Chicago, where this program airs.

Cinco de Mayo, some of the Cinco de Mayo festivities canceled because of fear that there might be an ice raid on the parade, that the Chicago Cinco de Mayo celebration could be dampened by by people showing up and

arresting, arresting bad folks. Yeah, Cinco de Mayo canceled in Chicago this year, and this

year's reason is different than last year's reason.

I'm old enough to remember all the way back to 2024.

I'm old enough to recall that, oh boy, oh boy,

the Cinco de Mayo parade on Cermac on the west side of Chicago was canceled

because gang violence.

So a year ago when Joe Biden was president, he didn't know it, but he was president.
