Hello everybody. Good morning, It's Dave Neil here and we've got a Memorial Day morning rush hour for you.

It's Monday, May 27th, 2024 and I'm going to dive into all of entertainment news in one place and there is a lot

to get into, but of course, first we have to wish everyone a happy Memorial Day, which I know that's kind of a weird it's

kind of a weird holiday because happy you know is kind of the weird word to use

it's a day where we respect and remember those who passed away while fighting for our country.

Memorial Day, originally known as Decoration Day, is a federal holiday in the United States for honoring and mourning the U.S. military

personnel who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces.

From 1868 to 1970, it was observed on May 30th.

Since 1971 it is observed on the last Monday of May.

And of course it's really the sort of commencement of the summer.

Memorial Day became sort of the get out there and grill and rejoice that the summer's coming and

schools ending and this and that that which two things can be true

you can do all of that and you can also take the moment to think about those that

gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country and I understand the hard left turn we're about to

make into entertainment news just goes to remind us how easy some of us and most of

us have it compared to those that fought in past wars.

You know, my father didn't die in Vietnam, but on his death certificate, it was Agent Orange.
