TSA update its policy last month to allow medical marijuana to be taken on commercial flights.

The significant change because cannabis for medical use is now legal in 40 states.

40 states is legal for medical use and the district in

Columbia. It remains outlawed by the federal government who has judicial control over the airports.

And it's now a schedule three. Dr. prescribed weed is now formally allowed on flights, both within

customers checked and carry on baggage.

My son was happy about this.

According to the TSA website, which says it's more concerned with thwarting potential safety threats than knocking on passengers.

Exactly what we've always heard.

Now, I've heard this too.

The TSA procedures are focused on security that's designed to detect potential threats to aviation and passengers.

They don't care.

And I know this part.

According to TSA officials, officers do not search for illegal drugs.

But if any illegal substance or evidence of criminal activities is discovered during the screening, TSA will refer that matter to law enforcement officers.

And so the TSA notes a TSA officer on duty at the time has the final say. So most of them aren't in arcs. Some pastors who really push the envelope could still be in cuffs, the 23-year-old Texas stoner. That's written that way, was nabbed at Miami International with 75 pounds of the devil's lettuce in his luggage.

Yeah, you can't do that. What makes you think you could get away with that? I don't know. TSA did not return request. He probably got flag because he put it all in one bag and it weighed more than 50 pounds and they checked it out. Exactly. You can't put more than 50 pounds of anything in one bag, let alone weed. Now, we know for a fact, people have been flying with weed in bags all the time, but a lot of them don't, because they get a little worried about a little stash. Everybody knows everyone has flown with weed. Did you fly with it in your sock years ago, Todd? That was Coke. Oh, that was Coke. But that was also pre-9-11. Yeah, it was fine back then.
