This is a story out of Council Bluffs, Iowa. Authorities and Council Bluffs conducted,

22nd of April. A brief but effective traffic enforcement campaign last week.

You get the Council Bluffs Police, the Carter Lake Police, the Pottawatomie County

Sheriff's Office.

Between 8 and noon.

Iowa State Patrol.

Yeah.

They're at the intersections of I-80 and Interstate 29.

Between 8 a.m. and noon, they issued 102 citations and warnings, 30 of which were given

to drivers that failed to move over when there was a vehicle stopped on the shoulder.

I didn't know that was a law.

I know trucks always do that.

But sometimes, you know, you got a guy next to you and you can't pull over.

Like if you're able to pull over, you're supposed to.

Right.

Yeah.

The law requires you to move over.

No, the law requires you to move over and give space to a stall to stop vehicle whenever possible.
