Amazon paused two construction projects pending the tax vote.

And what they're doing is what is a tried and true tactic of the bosses.

It's pitting workers against workers against their own class interests.

Amazon has announced, well wait a minute.

If you're going to hit us with tens of millions of dollars in extra taxes, keeping in mind, that's on top of payroll taxes, sales taxes, property taxes,

and Amazon owns dizzying amounts of property.

And all the sales taxes that all their employees generate, the rest of it, all the economic activity.

If you're going to hit us with 50, 60, 70 million dollars in extra taxes, just because we're creating jobs,

we're going to halt a couple of construction projects.

We're not sure we want to expand here.
