0:15.0	As many of you know, I've been critical of Donald Trump's tariffs on Chinese goods.

0:31.6	Well, let's talk about what it is that Joe Biden is doing.
0:34.7	President Joe Biden is going to be doubling, tripling, and quadrupling tariffs on some
0:42.0	Chinese goods this week.
0:44.4	One major area is that the total tariff on Chinese electric vehicles is going to rise to a
0:51.5	hundred and two point five percent from twenty seven point five percent.
0:56.4	That is a nearly quadrupling of the tariff on Chinese electric vehicles.
1:02.8	So our first step in analyzing what Joe Biden is doing
1:06.4	is to remind ourselves what did Donald Trump do.
1:08.7	What Donald Trump did is impose tariffs on Chinese solar panels, washing machines, steel, aluminum, many of these
1:19.3	from many countries, except in some cases we were disproportionately getting these things from China
1:25.3	Semiconductors computer components electronic devices various types of machinery
1:31.6	Including those used by manufacturing companies and agricultural companies,
1:36.0	products such as clothing, furniture, and toys saw tariffs imposed.
1:41.0	So the question is, are tariffs on China just plain bad or could there be a reason why
1:48.8	Trump's tariffs weren't a good idea and Joe Biden's on Chinese electric vehicles are a good idea.
