0:16.7	So the big media story over the last 48 hours was Wednesday night CNN town hall of the
0:23.1	failed former president Donald Trump.
0:25.3	On yesterday's show we did an extensive review of what was said, the audiences roll and
0:31.4	reactions, laughing and cheering at the most depraved anti-democratic and dishonest moments,
0:38.3	anchor Caitlin Collins's respectable attempt to do some fact checking up against the unfortunate
0:45.9	reality that Trump mostly steamrolled right over her, had the crowd on his side for the
0:52.2	lies and that the environment in some total didn't really conform to one where serious
1:01.1	fact checking and pinning Trump down could happen in part because of the crowd and because
1:06.0	of the format and so many other things.
1:08.4	So we then heard again on yesterday's show from people in the media, Joe Scarborough and
1:15.7	others, members of the House and Senate.
1:19.2	We heard from all sorts of different people about the town hall and we heard from voters
1:23.2	as well.
1:24.6	And in a focus group that CNN did of Trump supporters, they were not more impressed or less impressed
1:32.1	by Trump based on the town hall.
1:34.3	It did nothing.
1:35.4	One way or the other to influence their opinion of Trump.
1:38.5	And then the question becomes, well, what about independent voters?
1:41.2	What about Democrats?
1:42.2	What about non Trump Republicans?
1:44.4	And it's hard to imagine that they were overly thrilled by what took place.
