| 0:00.0 | Hey everybody, welcome to four-player podcast. This is episode 209. It's February 1st, 2011. I'm your host, Nick Henderson, and I am joined, as always, by Mr. David Lau. ConnectHalo.com. Can you believe that shit? Registered by Microsoft. We will talk about... Oh, shit. No. Nope. That's what it says. And by the way, I passed you in Chivos today. |
| 0:38.7 | Thanks for that, Nick. |
| 0:39.9 | I knew something. |
| 0:41.5 | Well, I couldn't... I couldn't figure out where to mention it in the show. In the news. Mistened that in the news. Okay, I'll mention that. That you passed me in Chivos. Which, too, I think you just did. And also, Brad, Brad Simon, say hello. |
| 0:54.4 | Hello. |
| 0:55.1 | We are without a fourth chair this week, but we will be back to the normal four. And also, Brad, Brad Simon, say hello. |
| 0:54.8 | Hello. We are without a fourth chair this week, but we will be back to the normal four next week, but we still have a lot of stuff to talk about, a lot of games to cover. Do you say we have a lot of games to talk about? No. I hope I did. That's what it sounded like. Well, I guess we'll find out when we listen to it after this is finished recording. We have a lot of stuff to talk about a lot of games to cover |
| 1:12.4 | and some big news this week, like the MGPPP announcement, the PSP 2, and some Connect Halo stuff and some Platinum games stuff. We've been playing for a lot of games, too. We've got a little impressions to go over first. So who would like to go first? What have we been playing this week? |
| 1:28.6 | I'll play a lot of shit. We're going to talk about Dead Space 2 probably last because me and David Blocke. Well, I will not be talking about Dead Space 2, so would you like me to start? Yes, Brad. What have you been playing? Castlevania Harmony of Despair? Oh, God. Here we go. Back to this. you're still looking for those boots |
| 1:45.2 | yes I am |
| 1:46.7 | $30 reward. I got a great idea, Brad. I'm going to get you some Sonic boots, I promise you. Just depending on how long it takes you to get them. I'm going to try to get them tomorrow, actually. And one of the reasons I want to get them tomorrow is because some new DLCs coming out. |
| 2:02.2 | And what I have been playing is some of the newer D.L.C. in Castlelandia Harmony of Despair. |
| 2:09.3 | And I will say I'm impressed that they're doing some things that are different and interesting. |
| 2:15.5 | Should we talk about this in news? |
| 2:17.6 | No, because I've been playing... |
| 2:18.9 | Oh, playing karma. |
| 2:19.6 | I'm in the despair, I guess. Are the D.L.C. Packs not? Or just, like, maps? They've been adding maps, and they've added... Maps and characters. But with the most recent release, they took Castlevania 1, like the 8-Pick Castlevania and basically they |
| 2:33.2 | attempted to put that entire |
| 2:35.1 | game into one Castleman. |
| 2:37.3 | Oh, well. |
| 2:37.7 | So, start, like, from the beginning, as if you're kind of like in the start of the Castlevania, the NES game, and all the bosses are there, too, and you have to fight through them as you fight all the way up to the top and fight Dracula. And it's cool. This game really has some crazy legs. Yeah. Like more legs, like, more so than I was expecting it to be. And it has, like, the cool, it has remixes of, like, a lot of the original game's music, including a pretty cool remix of Vampire Killow, but also with this back came, all the old-school 8-bit music, which you can decide to put in the level also. It kind of sucks because... Why would you choose not to put it in the level? Well, because the remixes are pretty good. So, we're not getting into a discussion on DLC for this, right? Because I'm... This is one of the most sour tastes, like, Casabani. No, absolutely. I love this game. We voiced our opinion on that before. What I'm just trying to say is... No, but I want people to make sure they realize it's not about paying money for DLC and getting deals. And, like not it's not that I'm unwilling to pay money |
| 3:40.9 | it's just I don't know how much money I have to pay and they keep tacking on more stuff |
