Summary

I leave the country for one week and the entire gaming world goes crazy! Apparently... the Just Cause 2 demo is awesome, Bad Company 2 is crazy good, Activision's "good name" was dragged (further) through the mud, the next Tomb Raider game is a download title, and Portal 2 was announced! Almost makes me wish I hadn't just spent the entire week soaking up the sun in the Caribbean! Anyways, Brad and I sit down to play catch-up and discuss the recent developments in the gaming world! I apologize for the lack of warning but it had to be done quickly or we would have missed a week and we don't do that here!

| 0:00.0 | activate All right, we're doing this, we're doing this. It is episode 159, 4-player podcast. Go, just go, just go. Just work with it. Chew quiet. You sound casual here. Chew quietly. Hey, guys, welcome to 4-player podcast, episode 159. It is March 8th, 2010, the day before Final Fantasy 13. Or the day before Yakuza 3. Or the day, yeah, what am I saying? A day before, oh, technically not. Okay, whatever. Two days before Yakuza 3. I'm your host, Nick Henderson, back from a week-long vacation. That's what we're doing the show about a day late this week. And I'm joined today by Brad Simons. Ooh, I played actually something else, too, that I want to talk about. |
| 0:54.6 | Fantastic. |
| 0:56.2 | I don't know how much to talk about it. |
| 0:57.5 | So that's good. |
| 0:58.1 | Okay. |
| 1:09.2 | Let's get started. We got a roll. It was a crazy week. So we'll get to news. We've got a whole bunch of news topics, but we're going to talk about some games. First. We're talking about the news, like, way later than everybody else did. |
| 1:13.6 | Like, I was listening to some podcasts, and they had, like, they had, like, you know, they were recording their podcast, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. |
| 1:15.2 | Oh, God, what's this going on? There's security outside of Infinity Ward. What is this shit? There's security. I'm just kidding. I'm not going to make that joke. And now it's like a week ago, and it's like, well, you're still talking about this? |
| 1:25.8 | But thankfully, because of that, we can just, you know, mention it without going into too much detail, |
| 1:29.7 | because pretty much everybody knows about most of that stuff already. So, we'll just touch on some of those a little later on in the show. Although, when that stuff, especially the portal stuff, the way it was, that information trickled out was like the more interesting story than, oh, there's scans of Game Informer that say Portal 2. |
| 1:47.9 | So we'll talk about that. |
| 1:48.8 | However, I just want to give you a warning. |
| 1:50.7 | I was, I did not have access to the internet for what I did, but for a fee, which I didn't want to pay. |
| 1:56.6 | For about a week, so I don't really know a whole lot of what was going on or the specifics of what was going on. |
| 2:03.0 | So I'm going to be... |
| 2:03.7 | I'm sorry. |
| 2:06.3 | I'm drinking soda. |
| 2:08.6 | You say that every week. |
| 2:10.9 | So I'll be referring to you probably for more details than I pretty much just know shit happened. |
| 2:15.6 | All right, let's talk about games because I realize I got some stuff talking about. Can we start? |
| 2:20.2 | Actually, go ahead and start with deadly |
| 2:21.2 | premonition. |
