Now, the Republican tax and spending law this year narrowed Obamacare subsidies for certain

immigrants. Democrats propose reversing that. Democrats also argued that those paroled into the U.S.

under the Biden administration are here legally.

Republicans say Democrats abused that authority and that many of those migrants are not and therefore cannot get federal health care.

Fox is Rich Edson. The White House says talks on policy differences can happen after short-term spending is approved to end the government shutdown.

The U.S. is now in an armed conflict with drug cartels.

That's part of a memo sent to Congress by the Trump administration, noting the cartels are designated as terrorist organizations.

This after recent deadly U.S. attacks on what the president said were drug trafficking boats,

including two from Venezuela.

The memo cites of September 15th strike on a ship in the Caribbean, accused of trafficking drugs,

claiming it could eventually, quote, kill Americans.

This comes as Democrats have alleged the administration is exceeding its powers to use military force against the cartels.
