We're going to start with the emails that were received by a few anonymous users online. Now, this begins on October 6, 2014 at around or specifically 615pm.

There is an non-user. We're going to call them Austin because it's later found out that their name was Austin, but at the time of this original email, they were anonymous.

Well, they came to the 4chan board known as X with an email that they had received in a lot of questions.

The X board on 4chan is known for its paranormal content, and it's actually a place where cicada 3301 was discussed quite a bit in its heyday.
