Summary

The San Francisco 49ers escaped Lumen Field with a win over the Seattle Seahawks, thanks to a touchdown drive ending with a Jake Tonges touchdown reception in the final minutes of the fourth quarter. After losing George Kittle to injury earlier in the game, Jake Tonges, who had never recorded a catch in an NFL game before today, was thrust into action and stepped up in the biggest moment of the game. Nick Bosa's strip sack on the following Seattle Seahawks drive was the proverbial nail in the coffin. The win was not without drama, as Jake Moody missed two more field goals today, and the offensive line looked overmatched for a large part of this game.

0:33.0

But the trenches didn't look so well for the point out as offensive line because they didn't get the running game going today.

0:39.6

They only average 3.3 yards to carry and McCaffrey looked sluggish along with Robinson.

0:48.1

The biggest thing with the run game, I thought McCaffrey did a great job when he had a fullback in front of him.

0:53.7

That's when he showed up more.

0:55.5

He was more comfortable with the fullback in the game.

0:59.6

But when they put him in the backfield alone, the offensive line seemed like they didn't even exist because Seahawks' defensive line was all over him in the backfield.

1:10.9

So they need work there.
