Welcome back to the Locked on 49ers Postcast.

I'm your host, Eric Tripoli Engel.

You may know me as the former producer for the Mervyn Mac Morning Show on KMBR.

And tonight, the San Francisco 49ers have now lost five of their last six games

after falling to the Lions 40 to 34 on Monday night football.

And the game that featured more than 900 total yards of offense between the two teams.

The difference in tonight's matchup came down to Brock Purdy's two interceptions on

overthrows, both times right into the arms of Kirby Joseph.

But ultimately, the defense could have contributed to.

They just needed to make one

more stop and couldn't do it. They were repeatedly gashed on the day, albeit at the hands of the NFL's

most well-oiled offensive machine. The Lions are no joke. Additionally, Jake Moody missed two field

goals and an extra point. If you're doing the math, same way I'm doing the math,

that's seven points. Niners lose by six. This could very well have been the nail in the

coffin for Jake Moody's time with the San Francisco 49ers. And I think we will all at this point

kind of rejoice if that's the case. We'll break it all down. But first, I want to thank all of you
