Here's what's happening with your San Francisco 49ers.

this year.

We may have gotten, however, a leak about week one.

Dave Softie Mailer of KJR in Seattle says he's hearing that the Seahawks will host the 49ers to open the

2025 season on September 7. If that's true, it would be the fourth time in the last five years

that the Niners have opened a season on the road. And there is no shortage of storylines in this one.

Obviously, the biggest being

that Sam Darnold is now the quarterback of the Seahawks and he was the backup quarterback for the

Niners the year they went to the Super Bowl. Also, Clint Kubiak is now the offensive coordinator

in Seattle. He spent a year with the Niners as their old passing game coordinator. Let's be honest, who can forget, Gino Smith running the ball into the end zone at the end

of the game last year, one of the most devastating losses for the 49ers in a loss season.

Clearly, they would want to avenge that.
