Good morning and welcome to 49ers in 5, your daily update on everything happening with the team that you need to know.

I'm Rob Stats Guerrera. Today is Tuesday, September 2nd, 2025. Here's what's happening with your San Francisco 49ers. We always begin with the injury

report and I am excited to say that the Niners saw some big names return to practice yesterday.

Dominic Pune, Yitor Gross Matos, Kalia Davis, Russell Gage, and yes, Joanne Jennings were all back at practice.

In fact, only one player on the entire 53-man roster did not participate, and that was Jordan

Watkins who should be back later this month.

Now, of course, remember, this doesn't include guys like Brandon Ayuk and Malik Mustafa,

who aren't technically on the 53-man roster right now, but the fact remains that days away

from the season opener against the Seahawks, the Niners are healthier than they have been,

probably since the off-season program began. Now, as for Joanne Jennings' return, Matt Mayoko reported that there hasn't been any

agreement or adjustment on a contract, but Jennings was seen dapping up both Kyle Shanahan

and John Lynch when he ran out onto the field.

Some would say, some would say, it's not a coincidence that Jennings' calf suddenly

healed up on the exact same

day that Kendrick Bourne was visiting the facility. You could decide for yourself on that,

but Jennings wasn't really eased into practice either. According to those that were there,

Juan took the first rep in all the wide receiver drills just like he did before the calf injury

earlier this offseason.

So just zoom out for a minute.

We could be looking at an offense that goes into Seattle with Ricky Pearson,

Jouan Jennings, George Kittle, Christian McCaffrey, and Brock Purdy,

throw in whatever veteran wide receiver you want in the slot, Russell Gage, Robbie Chosen,
