One of the few remaining roster decisions for the Niners is kicker, and it took a step towards

answering that over the weekend.

John Lynch swapped late round picks in the 2025 draft with the Carolina Panthers on Friday

to acquire kicker Zane Gonzalez.

Gonzalez is not kicked in a game since December of 2021 after he injured his groin before a preseason

game while taking practice kicks into a net. Before that, though, he hit almost 91% of his field
