Welcome to 49ers in 5, your daily update on everything happening with the team that you need to know. I'm Rob Stats Guerrera. Today is Friday, August 11th, 2023. Here's what's happening with your San Francisco 49ers.

The first joint practice with the Raiders is in the books, but first, as always, let me run down the

injuries. George Kittle out this week, he has an adductor injury. That's the same injury that's

keeping Elijah Mitchell on the sidelines. Dre Greenlaw left practice early with a hamstring

injury. Drake Jackson did not participate with a hamstring injury. The big news, Ray Ray

McLeod broke his wrist earlier this week. He needs surgery. He is going to be out about eight

weeks. That's going to have major repercussions on the rest of the roster, which we'll get to a little

bit later. Also, Danny Gray was sore, so he was kept out of practice. As for the

specific stats, I'm not going to give you those because you know my feeling. It's not really

worth it to give you the actual specific stats. But the general sense is that the quarterbacks

had generally the same kind of days that they have been having. Jimmy Garoppolo seemed to have

a little bit of success against his old Niners teammates, but that's neither here nor there.

After the practice, Brock Purdy talked about the state of his arm and how a lot of people
