0:14.5	I'm Rob Stats Guerrera. Today is Monday, August 11th, 2025. Here's what's happening with your San Francisco 4-9ers.
0:22.4	The preseason began with a whimper for the Niners.
0:25.6	They did score a touchdown on their opening drive, but they would manage only two more points the rest of the game,
0:31.3	and they were blown out by the Denver Broncos 30 to 9.
0:34.9	Yeah, it was frustrating.
0:36.0	I mean, I liked how we started out, but after that, you know, there wasn't much to be excited about. You know, we didn't get many first downs, four turnovers, the three picks, the fumble. I felt when we did make a play, whether the quarterback did, then the receiver was off. I felt we made too many mistakes, and it was frustrating two and a half quarters. That is the voice of a very disappointed Kyle Shinnahan.
0:56.6	The offense had a 50-yard pass to Jordan Watkins on the opening drive,
1:00.6	but they passed for just 57 yards the rest of the game.
1:05.7	Definitely frustrating, to say the least.
1:08.6	Mack Jones probably had the most successful day for the
1:11.4	quarterbacks, although that's not saying much. What are your thoughts after this one,
1:14.9	McCorkel? Obviously, you get the chance to go out there and play in the game and kind of just
1:19.1	feel things out. And it's my first time taking real snaps in this offense. So I'm looking
1:25.1	forward to the growth that, you know, all of us will be able to do and definitely want to play better and put more points out there.
1:31.3	And, you know, that's all you can do is kind of just take it day by day and see how you can do better.
1:39.1	Jones was under pressure.
1:40.2	A lot of the night he was a victim of Jordan Watkins running a bad route, which ultimately
1:44.5	led to an interception. It was an up and down performance for Mac Jones. Let's just say,
1:50.0	please, please, please let's protect Brock Purdy at all costs. Defensively, the Niners did look
1:56.6	much better early on, especially because the Broncos played a lot of their first team
2:01.7	offense in the game.
