0:14.0	I'm Rob Stats Guerrera. Today is Wednesday, July 30th, 2025. Here's what's happening with your San Francisco 49ers.
0:23.0	Niners are off today, but before we hit the podium, let's get a quick health update.
0:28.5	Mikel Williams missed practice with a quote minor ankle injury.
0:33.7	Gulp, let's be a little bit worried there, considering so much of his college career was impacted
0:39.2	by an ankle injury that he just could not shake. And Ricky Pearson did not practice yesterday.
0:45.4	Now, the team is saying it's part of a normal rest program to help ramp him up from the hamstring
0:50.2	injury. That's what they're saying. We'll see. We know the Niners can be spotty when it
0:56.8	comes to telling the truth about injuries. Now, to the podium, Clay Kubiak is the new
1:03.0	offensive coordinator this year and he had nothing but good things to say about one Ricky Pearson.
1:08.9	The more Ricky's out there, the more you see him,
1:11.8	his route running, right, how polished it can become. I think as the year went on last year,
1:16.2	he just got so much better versus man-to-man coverage. The more man coverage you see,
1:21.1	the more physical DB play you see, Ricky gets better, you know, and that excites me a lot.
1:26.1	You know, he's a guy who's going to rise to the occasion with more physical defensive
1:29.9	backplay. But he's got to be out there. He's got to be consistent. And so I think Ricky just gets better and better than more he's out there. And so he's got to, he's just got to stay out there and stay healthy and take care of his body. I think the sky's a limit for him. Hopefully they are telling the truth about Slick Rick because God knows we are going to need
1:46.6	him out there particularly during the season.
1:49.6	And as he said and as everybody seems to say, when Pierceaw plays, he looks better and
1:54.8	better and better.
1:55.8	So getting him out on the field and keeping him out on the field has to be a top priority
2:00.1	for everyone.
