I'm Rob Stats Guerrera. Today is Friday, September 8th, 2023. Here's what's happening with your San Francisco 49ers.

Well, we don't have a record setting contract to talk about today, so I guess we could do the final injury report before week one.

Two players did not participate in practice yesterday.

Talanoa Hufanga, although apparently it wasn't related to the Baker cyst behind his knee,

was actually a personal matter, and Charverius Ward, who popped up with a heel injury,

although Kyle Shanahan did say later in the day on KMBR that he was pretty confident that

Mooney Ward would play in the game. Now, as for the limited participants, Nick Bosa, limited, but not for

injury, just because he was working out on the side, first day back, that kind of a thing.

Orrin Burke's to Sean Gibson, George Kittle, although Kittle says he's looking forward to playing

on Sunday, Jordan Mason, Ray Ray McLeod, and Jake Moody.

Now, let's get to the audio portion of the show because we're just days away from

week one and we actually got a little bit of bulletin board material yesterday.

Steelers defensive back Patrick Peterson went on the all thingsed podcast and said that the 49ers offense

has tendencies that he could exploit. On the show, they pressed him on that and he said,

quote, when I get my pick Sunday, we'll talk about it. Hmm, interesting. Okay. You know, I wonder what

Brock Purdy would say about that.

Oh, wait. Brock Purdy spoke to the media yesterday. I don't really know what to say about that.

I mean, he's a good player. Patrick Peterson's a great player. I grew up watching him and everything.

I was obviously from Arizona. He played for the Cardinals and stuff. So, yeah, it's the competitive

nature, I guess, of football. So we'll see.
