Good morning and welcome to 49ers in 5, your daily update on everything happening with the team that you need to know.

I'm Rob Stats Guerrera. Today is Monday, April 6, 26. Here's what's happening with your San Francisco 49ers. The Niners released their

offseason schedule yesterday. The first day of the offseason program is actually right

around the corner. Two weeks from today on April 20th, the Niners will hold the first day

of their offseason program. After that, OTAs will begin on May 27th and

run through the 29th. Then they'll reconvene again on June 1st, 3rd, and 4th to finish up the

voluntary part of the offseason program. And then we get to the mandatory mini camp on June 9th and

10th. And that, according to Dieter Curtinbach on the

Dieter & Hutch podcast, could be a bit of an issue. Mandatory minicamp is June 9th and 10th.

There is a World Cup game on the 13th at Levi Stadium. I have reached out to people who might not

know or might know. And they they're like it won't be an

issue I'm calling it right now this thing's gonna be an issue like there's no way

this isn't gonna be a problem FIFA doesn't like just let you come on in they

commandeer the whole damn thing you should see the applications for these media

credentials they're like what soccer games have

you covered before and show me the work? You think that they're just going to let the Niners have

their locker room for the week? It might be an issue the week before that. So I look forward to this

absolute brouhaha that's happening in Santa Clara. We have seen that the World Cup does not mess around.

They get what they want.

They have NFL owners converting their turf fields to natural grass just to host the

World Cup matches, spending millions of dollars.

If the World Cup doesn't want the 49ers in their stadium, they sure as hell won't be shy about letting them know about it.
