Good morning and welcome to 49ers in 5, your daily update on everything happening with the team that you need to know.

I'm Rob Stats Guerrera. Today is Monday, November 24th, 2025. Here's what's happening with your San Francisco 49ers. We'll get to Kyle Shanahan in a minute,

but first, here is the injury report before tonight's Monday nighter against Carolina. Tatum Bethune,

Robert Beale, and Eddie Pinheiro are all out with injuries. Luke Gifford is questionable for the game

with hip and neck injuries.

Now, unfortunately for the 49ers, the NFL gave them no help yesterday.

The Rams, lions, bears, Seahawks, and Packers all won.

So that puts even more pressure on San Francisco to win against Carolina, who by the way,

is now tied for the lead in the NFC South because the Rams dismantled the Bucks yesterday in LA.

That's not great for San Francisco because the Niners may now have to compete for Tampa Bay

for a wild card spot.

And of course, the bucks have the tiebreaker

thanks to their head-to-head win over the Niners. Now, let's get to Kyle Shinhan's press

conference. If you missed it, and maybe you did because it was on Saturday, he talked a lot about

Brandon Ayuk, who we now know had his guaranteed money in 2026 voided back in July. Uh, why was that exactly, Kyle? I'm not going to get in

specifics with that. There was a number of things from July that, to me, is more of a business side,

dealing with lawyers and stuff and contracts and stuff that is really not my area of expertise.

Okay, thanks for nothing on that. Kyle, however, still thinks IU could play for this team.

What happened in July to me, in my opinion, doesn't have anything to do with the future.

That had to do with circumstances that, to me, we're out of a coach's hand, you know,

the best way I can explain it when it comes to business matters and lawyers and contracts and things like that, when it comes to the future of this, I mean, I would love for BA to be here. I would love for him to get healthy and get back to really helping us out and being a part of this team. We haven't had that in a little bit, and I still hold out hope that he can get there, but he obviously hasn't gotten there yet. Technically, Brandon hasn't been cleared by the doctors to return, but I don't think he expects

that to happen.
