Here's what's happening with your San Francisco 49ers.

The first game week of the season is officially here.

Of course, we know the Niners will take on the Seahawks on Sunday afternoon.

The big question right now is whether Joanne Jennings will play in this game.

He has not practiced with the team in five weeks, and there appears to be no resolution to his contract dispute with the 49ers.

Matt Mayoko discussed things on the latest episode of the 49ers talk podcast.

I'm going to use some words that describes Juan Jennings the player.

He's feisty.

He's stubborn, and he's prideful. That's Juan Jennings, the football player. He's he's feisty. He's stubborn and he's prideful. That's Juan Jennings, the football

player that everybody can see. And I, I got to believe, you know, what you see from guys on the

field is often what they're like off the field. And I just wonder if that's kind of him, too, the person saying, hey, take care of me.

You know, I'm, I'm worth this. And I want that new contract. And he's, how far is he willing to go to

get that new contract? Even if they did somehow work things out, could Joanne Jennings get in football shape in just three practices after more than a month without playing football?

I don't know that he can.

I don't know that he could get the chemistry with Brock Purdy, but that would be the question.
