0:14.1	I'm Rob Stats Guerrera. Today is Tuesday, May 20th, 2025. Here's what's happening with your San Francisco 49ers.
0:22.7	The good news keeps coming for San Francisco, and yesterday that news came in the form of a new
0:28.8	contract for linebacker Fred Warner. All pro Fred has agreed to a three-year deal worth
0:35.3	$63 million that will keep him with the team through the
0:39.4	2029 season.
0:41.5	56 million of that contract is guaranteed.
0:45.6	Warner will once again be the highest paid middle linebacker in the NFL at around $21 million
0:51.7	per season and it is well deserved. All-Pro Fred has been a first-team All-Pro in
0:58.3	four of the last five years. There is only one other player in the entire NFL that can say the same,
1:04.7	and that is defensive lineman Miles Garrett. Warner was incredible last season, playing most of the
1:10.4	year on a fractured ankle. After that
1:13.0	injury, his PFF grade was 84.8, but I think people forget how good Fred was before he hurt
1:19.2	his ankle. His PFF grade was 95.8. He was all world, Fred Warner, and hopefully we get to
1:26.4	see more of that next season.
1:28.6	Kind of a crazy note.
1:29.5	If you look at the top 10 highest paid inside linebackers in the NFL, a third of the list
1:35.2	is either a current or former 49er.
1:38.1	You've got Fred Warner at number one, Aziz Al Shire at number eight, and now Dre Greenlaw
1:43.7	with the Broncos at number 10.
1:46.5	Nick Martin, just saying, this may work out well for you if you could figure it out.
1:51.0	And if you're keeping track this offseason, and I know that you are, the 49ers have now locked up George Kittle, Brock Purdy, and Fred Warner.
