Good morning. Welcome to 49ers in 5, your daily update on everything happening with the teen that you need to know. I'm Rob Stats-Garera. Today is Tuesday, May 30th, 2023. Here's what's happening with your San Francisco 49ers.

Christian McCaffrey is excited to have a full offseason with the 49ers. He was a guest on

the Rich Eisen Show and express that excitement to Mr. Eisen.

I feel like as a football nerd and as a fan of the game, I have fun going into work every

day, just learning so much.

It is nice being able to have an offseason under my belt where I can get, you know, comfortable

with the details and the things beyond the X and O's that, you know, I'm not learning game plan

to game plan. So I'm definitely excited to be here. Based on what we heard out of OTAs this year, Christian is already hitting the ground running.

And I love it.

And I think we maybe have not yet seen the full impact of McCaffrey with the 49ers because he did come over halfway through the year last year.

He already seems to be stepping up as a leader.

He's already setting the tone in OTAs,

and hopefully that influence can spread to the other members of the team. One thing you shouldn't

ask Christian McCaffrey about, however, is the 49ers quarterbacks. I'm not a quarterback

evaluator. I'm not a quarterback. People ask me all the time, how's the quarterback? I did. I have no

idea. I don't know mechanics. I have, you know, no idea how to evaluate quarterbacks. But what I do know is all

three of them are amazing. All three of them are great options. You know, I talk about Brock and what

he did last year and not just how he played, but the way he carried himself, and he's built to be quarterback in this league.

Talk about Trey.

I didn't get to play with Trey last year, but from what I've seen so far,

Trey's been great.

You know, he's been awesome, and obviously I've played with Sam, and I know what Sam can do
