I'm Rob Stats Guerrera. Today is Tuesday, June 3, 2025. Here's what's happening with your San Francisco 49ers. The trade for Bryce

Huff is now official and we have the official terms. The Niners will acquire Huff and in

exchange they'll give Philadelphia a fifth round pick in next year's draft that can become a

fourth round pick if Huff hits certain statistical markers.

Now, we don't know what those markers are as of this recording.

I would assume they're sacks, but we don't know officially.

Now, of course, anytime you talk about this trade, you have to bring up the fact that

Huff was a 10-sac guy back in 2023 when he was with Robert Sala.

But Kyle Posey of Niners Nation posted something interesting yesterday.

Even last year when Huff was supposedly, you know, unplayable, healthy scratch in the

Super Bowl, all of that stuff.

Even last year, Bryce Huff was still getting to the quarterback

when he lined up in the wide nine. In 2023 with Robert Sala, when he was in the wide nine,

which was 240 snaps, Bryce Huff had the best pressure percentage rank in the NFL. He was number one.

In 2024, with the Eagles, his pressure percentage rank in the NFL. He was number one. In 2024, with the Eagles,

his pressure percentage when lining up in the wide nine was ninth in the NFL. So still top

10. Now, he only had 89 snaps from the wide nine. So it's a smaller sample, of course,

but it appears that production wasn't the issue with Huff last year.

Opportunity was, and that's very encouraging when we're sitting here,

hoping that he will return to the form he had with the Jets and Robert Sala.
