I'm Rob Stats Guerrera. Today is Thursday, May 22nd, 2025. Here's what's happening with your San Francisco 49ers.

Brock Purdy held his I just signed a fat new contract press conference yesterday and said

quite a few things I think you should hear. First up, all right, Brock, tell us the obligatory thing

about wanting to save money for a good team around you. Obviously, we want to make sure that we're working together with our organization and setting

up everybody for success.

It's not just for me to get all the money as much as I can, but also like, hey, let's

surround yourself with a great team and players and a great locker room and all those things

mattered. So we definitely talked about that. Okay. So if that's true, are you saying you left some

money on the table? I think where we ended up was exactly where we needed to be. I'm extremely

happy with where we ended. And I know the Niners are too. And with that being said, man,

like for me, it's all about football now. And, you know, with that being said, man, like for me, it's all about football

now. And, and, you know, however, obviously they use the cap space and all kind of stuff.

Like, that's not my job. My job is to now go and win games and lead this team. But I'm extremely

happy and grateful for where we ended with. And, yeah, hopefully that answers the question.

He is absolutely right.

He 100% did leave money on the table.

Let's see how the 49ers choose to spend it as we get into this contract.

Hopefully it will help the team's performance on the field.

Speaking of performance, however, Brock is excited about what he's seen from his teammates so far.
