Good morning. Welcome to 49ers in 5, your daily update on everything happening with the team that you need to know. I'm Rob Stats Guerrera. Today is Tuesday, January 16th, 2024. Here's what's happening with your San Francisco 49ers.

There wasn't a ton of Niners news yesterday, so we thought we'd look ahead to today to see what is

coming up for the team. Niners will have practice today, tomorrow, and Thursday. Kyle Shanahan

is going to speak twice this week, once today, 1135 a.m. Pacific time.

And then again, on Thursday, Brock Purdy, of course, will meet the media tomorrow.

Before that, however, he sat down with Matt Mayoko on Matt's podcast, 49ers talk.

He said a couple of things. One of them, I totally believe.

The other one, I don't believe, for a single second. Let's start with the one I actually don't

believe. Here's Brock Purdy talking about when he hears what other people or the media

has said about him. There's some things that are said throughout the locker room and guys, you know,

come up to me and say, hey, did you hear this or that?

And so I hear through the grapevine.

But obviously I don't take that and throw it on to fuel my fire or anything like that.

For me, it's like, man, I know who I am and I know what I'm trying to do for this team. And I have to execute it consistently every week.

And I have to prove that to myself every week into my team more than anything every week.

So I hear some things, but I don't get wrapped up in it and live for it.

So that's just the truth.

I don't believe that for a single second.

Look, we have seen Brock on the field, right?

He's flexing.

He's doing all the poses.

He's screaming.
