The search for a defensive coordinator continues. Steve Wilkes interviewed with the team yesterday, according to reports. It was a long

interview and some believe the defensive coordinator position is Wilkes to lose. Albert

Brea reported in his Monday morning quarterback column that passing game coordinator Bobby

Sloick is well positioned to land in Houston as D'emiko Ryan's offensive coordinator, Sloick is considered next

in Kyle Shanahan's assembly line of talented young offensive assistants, according to Breer.

He also said that Sloak was at top Ryan's staff list.

It'll be interesting, Breer writes, to see if Shanahan would offer Sloick an offensive coordinator

title to keep him in San Francisco.

Elsewhere, according to Matt Mayoko, Brock Purdy's people held discussions yesterday to determine the specifics and finalize Brock's upcoming surgical procedure.
