Well, the San Francisco 49ers have had an interesting couple of years at the quarterback position.

It began with the big move prior to the 2021 draft giving up in all three first round

picks and a third round pick in order to acquire Tray Lance.

It hasn't worked out obviously.

He has hardly played in 2021.

We thought that we were going to be tasting Hill packages.

He barely was on the field, it became a distraction.

Jimmy G was the guy last year.

Tray Lance was the guy until week two broke an ankle and then it was Jimmy G.

Again, until he got injured and it was Brock Purdy.

Now Purdy, the last guy drafted in 2022, is the presumed starter assuming they get him

healthy.

The report that landed yesterday, 49ers, fielding calls on Tray Lance.

Now look, there have been reports that have merged

in the past from the same reporter that a team was fielding not making calls about a

player and I heard immediately from others.

No, the team is making the calls.

Now I haven't heard that the 49ers are actually making the calls, but the mere fact that this

is coming from the 49ers.

Who else would be in a position to leak to anyone that the 49ers are fielding calls other

than the 49ers?

They want this out there.
