first in the afternoon. Oh man, I don't know about you John but I've been grinding the tape

just wearing the tape down to a dust. Big tape watcher. Big tape watcher. I threw on some tape

today too. Background I look over a little. I don't I think back to some of the days when I just had

to watch over and over. I realized like you could not like look at your phone, scroll Twitter,

like check Instagram. Instagram wasn't really big you know then but part of being a great tape

watcher is just literally sitting there. I heard someone say this about Kyle, it was McVeigh like

his capacity to just sit there and watch tape and take it all in was always inspiring when

John was young. I'd say the same about like Andy McDermott, you know I think McVeigh is clearly

that now too. Like they can just sit there guy. You know you can have music but it's just you pen

paper. I probably some young coaches iPad TV clicker hours on end. There's no gymnastics on the

TV too, right? I mean you know this but it's quiet. Yeah there's a you probably I don't know if this

I've heard older coaches tell stories like Dion's like what are you guys talking about?

Dion's always got the music on. He's in charging music I think. Some of these older coaches talk

about the way they used to break down tape. You know like cut it and yeah cut it but also how they

would log it by hand. It's supposed to some of the stuff technology can help you with now filtering

and all that. Well wasn't that long ago when I was at Fresno State you had to number like when the

high school games would come in you know it'd be like Clovis West first Clovis East or Monterey

Trails versus Mission Viejo or whatever and you would put a little thing on it in a little case

and you had this big case of like one to you know 1500 and a cut one time one numbers off they're

all off in the book so you could have a hundred games all off by one so Coach Hill you know go to

look and then DVD started flying in a team meeting it was pretty ugly now Dana deals exactly.
