I'm Sy Kelly at your host, Tim Staples with us this time.

Tim, of course, the author of Behold Your Mother, Biblical and Historical Defense of the

Marion doctrines.

And I mentioned that in particular, because we're going to talk to Tim about doctrine.

Because you might hear, well, not that you might hear, if you're a Christian person,

you will hear fellow Christians saying on the internet, or at your church, or wherever

in the living room, you know, what we all we need is Jesus.

We don't need all of that doctrine.

And the idea, I guess, is that doctrine itself is like the barnacles that attach to the

ship.

And if you could just clear away all that, that chatter, you'd have a better, sleeker,

more efficient ship of the church.

And is that true, Tim?

It is absolutely not true.

But I know from experience being a former minister and an assembly god community where

you don't have a magisterium, I knew pastors who were sitting on the same dais, or whatever

we called it back then, we didn't really have a sanctuary.

But who disagreed over the nature of Christ, the nature of the Trinity, you know, the nature

of salvation, you know, can you lose your salvation, or not, baptism is the name of Jesus,

the name of Father, Son, Holy Spirit, the don't, the abhor, the escort.
