0:00.0	Guys, welcome to the J. Scott Outdoors podcast. I am actually driving from Aspen, Colorado over to the Ot6 Ranch,
0:12.0	and I'm going up over Independence Pass. It's about 10 o'clock in the morning and that hurricane or tropical storm that's hit Mexico is bringing some moisture.
0:25.0	There's snow on the road and it's real pretty.
0:28.6	It's 32 degrees outside and really haven't seen many other cars just kind of driving along
0:37.1	working my way towards the Odd6 Ranch. I have been over at the ranch since September 1st. It is now October 24th. I was over
0:51.1	at the Ox 6 Ranch for 47 or 48 days and we picked up a new vehicle for
1:00.0	Hunter Meekham who works with me over at the Ot Six Ranch and so I got a lift from Pueblo
1:09.4	with the owner on his airplane over to Montrose, Colorado and he dropped me off and I actually
1:17.7	drove to my place here between Glenwood Springs and Aspen and spent a few days there, was able to see my wife,
1:27.0	and now I'm headed back over to the ranch.
1:31.0	I thought I would give a little update on the Ot6 Ranch if you haven't been following
1:37.8	along on my Instagram account, which is the best way to kind of follow along what's going on on a day-to-day
1:46.4	basis with me.
1:49.4	The Ot6 Ranch got over there about September 1st, actually got there August 31st the afternoon and
1:58.5	started checking trail cameras and started glassing morning and evening and trying to take inventory on what was
2:07.9	shaken over there at the ranch.
2:10.2	And the general consensus is actually I'm very happy with what I saw over at the
2:18.0	ranch. The year prior in the fall of 2017 I actually just got there got to the ranch on
2:30.7	October 1st because the ranch wasn't purchased till about the last
2:34.8	week of September in 2017. So I guess what I'm getting at is getting to spend the whole month of September at the ranch. I was very pleased with what I saw and what we saw, Hunter and I, as far as
2:50.8	rutting activity, numbers of bulls on the property, amount of bugling, you know, just the sheer
2:57.7	chaos of, you know, elk getting to do their thing in a natural setting without very much applied pressure from humans.
