Charles Harrelson was a organized crime figure and hitman for hire-- he had already killed at least two people before he assassinated a federal judge. After a cocaine binge and a protracted standoff with police, he claimed to have been involved in the assassination of JFK. He later recanted-- saying he was just trying to stay alive under the gun.
