model. We saw how the surf magazine model had turned into kind of glorified press releases for the brands.

We grew up with it. We loved it. We actually appreciated that for all that it was. But we also saw

value in catering content to listeners, to surf fans,

to surfers, simply because that is who we are. And you, our listeners, are who we had been

communicating with for the previous five years and had been guiding and directing the style

of the content that we were creating. So it was within that spirit that we set
